Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kawasemi means Halcyon. Halcyon refers to "a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful". Halcyon can also mean a mythical bird, said by ancient writers to breed in a nest floating at sea at the winter solstice, charming the wind and waves into calm. Kawasemi is a peaceful dragon, not wanting to hurt anyone, except when it's lunch time. She can be mostly seen out at sea, in the wide open air, soaring and diving, and occasionally scaring some seafaring men, or dolphins and such. Some might say that maybe a few tales of Leviathans, and other monsters from the deep, might have been actually dragons; maybe Kawasemi will have tales or songs written about her one day. But for now, she'll stick with soaring high above the clouds, and chasing seagulls, and gliding along the air currents.
