Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

BlackNight Hunter is often mistaken for a male, which often gets on her nerves. She easily lashes out at others and has a large temper. She enjoys going on hunts by herself. Few dragons dare duel BlackNight, but the few who do end with many, many scars. Her anger pushes her to extreme limits. She is a sucker for revenge and often gets her revenge "by surprise." She will stalk her enemy dragon until nightfall, when she is virtually impossible to see. Then, she will leap out at her opponent and beat them senseless. Of course, the only thing that fuels her is her anger. So, without her anger, she could never win a fight. This comes to her disadvantage: a little flattering from the opponent and she's knocked off her feet.

Though BlackNight is not known for her vanity, she often rolls in pleasure at one fact: her father is a Gold Dragon. Though she isn't a Gold herself, she thinks it makes her valuable and important.
