Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very brightly colored and loves fruit.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling is extremely proud to be the chosen mascot of Sanctuary Grove. His duties include: looking cute, providing directions to peaceful visitors so they won't get lost in the small but very densely vegetated jungle-like forest, and to screech as loudly as possible to warn the others of predators.

He is currently trying to teach his younger sibling some of the mascot-duties, but of course he will always remain the main mascot.
