Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bractea ran away from her clan. Her peers and her elders wanted her to act like a snob. She didn't want to. She is very kind and loving. While running away, she heard a beautiful song and was lured in by it. She listened to Mons and Frigidus sing until they stopped. She followed them back to the Aeternus clan and was quickly given a warm welcome. She was very happy to see the diverse types of dragons and felt like she really belongs here.
