Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She belongs to a small herd of Horse Dragons who live in a lonely island in the middle of the ocean, which is composed of only females. Epona is the youngest, has a bright purple cloak and the tiny silver horns give her a graceful and gorgeous look; she also loves doing long rides through the flowering meadows along with her sisters.

When a mare of this particular herd of Horse Dragons is mature and knows that it is time to start a new family, she rides alone to the other side of the island to meet with the stallions and then pick a mate. During her trip, Epona met two brothers, Eachann and Kernunos, they both courted her and eventually she has been unable to choose between the two... So now, the three have made their own little herd, and look: a sweet purple foal is already born!
