Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Touching this dragon is out of the question. However, the oily residue her skin secretes has drawn the attention of her owner, who wants to know what uses the oil might have. Attempts to withdraw any secretion have been thwarted, for Prototype 10 has her daughter and her mate for protection. Whenever a soul tries to draw near her while sleeping, the younger albino will rear up and wake the entire group, or the mate will come up and distract them with his affectionate cuddles. As for 10 herself, she is a very quiet dragon with an even temper. She shrieks to beckon those she loves to her, but will often only hold her child under her wing, or her mate upon her back (who is certainly small enough to reach it). How her and a tiny mint colored dragon got together, the world will never know.
