Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The millions of tiny silver plates covering her slender body make Airgeadaichte a breathtaking sight to behold. An ambitious young female Silver keen to prove herself, she easily charmed her way into the territory of an existing clan of Guardians and Silvers. Once she knew she'd been safely accepted she began to gather the other caveborn female Silvers with the intention of leading her own clan. Taingeal and Ogam were quick to join her and together they form Clann nam Mathraigean. Their clan now lives in a large cave in the Highlands of Alba, bordering on the lands of their former families.

Airgeadaichte has proven to be a strong leader, demanding to know the comings and goings of each individual dragon. She is strict but just when judging the squabbles of her fellow clansdragons, although she does not take kindly to others criticizing her leadership. When running the clan becomes too much of a burden, she will seek out her calm mate Caisteal, a strong Guardian quick to comfort her.
