Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lovewind is gentle and kind. She is the only one of her kind in her Clan, but this doesn't affect her. She has a mate, Last Blaze of Light, who is a sunset dragon. They have a daughter, Broken Dawn, plus an egg. Lovewind and Last have decided to rear their egg instead of using a nest sitter. Lovewind is curently nest bound. Last has been bringing her food each day and taking her place for a few hours each day to let her get some excerise. Their love for each other is strong, and Last will fight to defend her as will Lovewind to defend him.
