Diamondwing Dragons are named for the myriad tiny scales that grow on their wing membranes, lending them a faceted, lustrous appearance. These meticulous creatures will spend months ranging far and wide to collect the shiniest trinkets and gemstones to adorn their nests. Once his nest is complete, a male Diamondwing will perform an elaborate aerial dance hoping to impress potential mates with his beauty and prowess.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. This dragon just will not die, no matter how many times a human tries to stab it. The human was trying to kill it to possibly transform it into a zombie, but after around thirty tries, the human gave up and let the dragon live. Although angry about the attempt to kill it, this dragon is happy that the human let it free, as it had been stolen from its home in the volcano as an egg and had lived with the human ever since.
