Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It already has a pair of wings, but it can’t fly very well with them.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
This dragon hatched in winter. In its vulnerable state, the cold made it very sick. So sick that it stopped growing, and its already rather useless single set of wings is even smaller than the wings other Nhiostrifes are born with.
Despite all this, the hatchling loves ice and snow. As soon as a lake is frozen over, it can be seen happily gliding, spinning and twisting over the ice. It is the closest it can get to flying.
