Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Evadna was rescued by Drakl, an adult male dark green dragon, when she was a young hatchling. About to die before maturing into an adult Skywing dragon, Drakl cast the freezing spell on her instead of Kyrackle a.k.a. "Kyra" since she was still grieving for Alvarak at the time. She now reveres Drakl as her older brother and helps him care for the hatchlings, though she spends most of her time speeding through the sky to hunt for the smallest birds.

She's sometimes nicknamed as "Eva."
