Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Azrael Machealis, preferably called Azrael by himself, is the eldest among his egg-mates. True to his nature, Azrael is a warrior; however, he has a soft spot for his egg-mates, especially Autumn Blooms, seeing as they grew up side by side. He may be more active at night than everyone else, but he watches over everyone whenever he has the time.

He has taken a liking to the songs of the classical period (he would like to point out that he isn't that old yet), and tries to encourage the rest of his egg-mates to appreciate it, as it is not as needlessly loud and headache prone (his own words, he likes to add) as the rest of his keepers kind. He as well enjoys a nice game of night pounce with Autumn, seeing as his other egg-mates are still too young to join him.

Azrael would also like to add that the night life isn't so bad, as long as you know who to avoid and cast spells.
