Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Azucana was found as an egg when an elderly dragon stumbled across her in a meadow after she rolled out of her nest. The old one was amazed to see the egg was still alive, as it had been raised on a whim by several tiny hummingbirds in the meadow. He offered to take the egg, but he was a run-down red dragon and did not have the energy to take care of an egg at his age. He asked the hummingbirds what her name was so he could find her parents. Apparently the old dragon was also hard of hearing; when the hummingbirds replied "Azucar", the Spanish word for sugar, he heard "Azucana". He searched for the mother but could not find her, as she had moved away after her other hatchlings had matured. So he handed Azucana off to the tribe, telling them her mistranslated name, and she continues to flourish to this day.
