And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Swirling Silver Storm, despite her name, is quite calm. Other dragons consider her a 'rock', always being there when needed, helping other dragons get through hard times. Silver is always very calm, even in emergencies. Often, this small hatchling has been the only dragon clear-headed enough to fend off rogue zombie hatchlings, floods, and vicious vampires, selflessly defending random strangers along with her friends and family.

Though she constantly puts her life on the line for others, Silver never expects anything in return. If asked why she does what she does, Silver will look up in confusion, seeming to be at a loss for words. Though she is a dragon with silver scales, this frozen hatchling has a heart of gold.
