Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

European Sea is quite the strange dragon. Aside from her unusual name, she also tends to speak of a strange moon she has named "Europa". She says that this moon is a vast ocean, slowly making its way around a faraway planet many times the size of earth. Many dragons don't believe such a moon is possible ("All moons are obviously made of cheese," they point out). And as if that wasn't enough of a problem, European Sea's name is also disputed! Some say her name refers to the cold, northern seas of Europe, others say it really means the seas of her moon. So sadly, European Sea has two rather unfortunate things to deal with, rather than just one (and now those crazy astronomer dragons are claiming that through powerful telescopes, they've seen evidence against her claim: instead of an ocean, her moon is covered in ice)!
