Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
Little Yiddle loves to use her inherited talents to move earth. She likes to dig out caves, and uses the excavated earth to extend the caves above-ground. Unfortunately, being young, she has not mastered packing the excavated earth well. This means that her structures are very susceptible to collapse if a dragon lands on top of them, if strong winds blow, or even if it just rains lightly.
With her magi heritage, Yiddle hopes to learn a spell to help stabilize the structures she builds. However, her skills so far are much more suited to digging and accelerating structural collapses with mild earthquakes. In a way, this works to her benefit, as more than once she has captured a meal by having creatures caught in the debris.
Miners avoid her territory, considering it a death-trap. This suits Yiddle, who does not want them mining her hoard—meager as it is, since she's only a hatchling. She is debating whether she needs to learn those stabilizing spells after all...
