Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become bigger, more aggressive, and much hotter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kataka is a wyvern who thinks she's the queen. Kataka is a cold and nasty little Hellfire who thinks mainly of herself and is a bit big for her scales. Kataka constantly wants attention and will attack any hatchling that she thinks will get in her way. Many of the hatchlings avoid the bad-tempered wyvern or simply hide when she is around and though Iceburn seems like she doesn't care, she is really just a lone little Hellfire who really just wants to have friends.
