Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Aniken is a weird dragon with a lot of imagination. Some dragons think he has a disorder because it sometimes seems he can't even tell the difference between the real world and his dream world. He has never stopped being childish when he grew up. Aniken thinks that hatchlings have the time of their life, living in a world where everything is new and possible. Aniken thinks that when you become an adult you only have responsibilities and duties, so he is unable to let go of his fond childhood past. The guardian dragons who raised him are worried about his frustration, but it seems his personality is changing. Aniken always befriends the hatchlings of the clan and when they grow up they always love to be around him. Seeing them happy as adults might make him realize that growing up isn't always so bad as it seems. Aniken is particularly close friends with Abhay Adish, Bluna Bluegem, Maruna Marine, Ramuh, diablo wing and Lamina de sombra. These dragons are also friends with each other.
