Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sovanna, a carefree, somewhat rebellious dragoness, was living the life of her dreams for as long as she could remember. Being a naturally beautiful Daydream dragon, Sovanna is well liked among the other dragons and is very vain in regards to her appearance. She was once involved in an exciting and forbidden affair with Dalziel, one of the greatest healers in the Clan's recent history, and was raised any egg they produced with the other dragon's convinced that she found it abandoned in the Wild. Eventually it was discovered that Daydreams and Whites could produce a rare hybrid breed, but Sovanna didn't care much until she laid eyes on one. Glittering and beautiful, to her any Soulpeace dragon could easily become much more beautiful than she, and that simply would not do. So she abruptly ended her affair with Dalziel and began searching for a new mate, determined to never bring a Soulpeace dragon into the world that could come close to competing with her beauty.
