Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Occasionally, unwary folks take it upon themselves to inform Sleipnir that her name is in fact quite masculine. She never fails to respond dryly, "Well Loki is my mother, what do you expect" She is fond of mind-teasers, riddles and puzzles, and loves to leave people pondering her sharp, witty, but sometimes perplexing remarks. Spending time with her stretches a person's brain (whether that person be human or dragon), but can be very frustrating as well, and her dearest friends tend to be the most patient of the dragon and human clans. She is, however, quite warmhearted in her odd way, is unfailingly courteous (if occasionally a bit condescending to those she considers "lesser minds") and genuinely enjoys the company of those select few who are her close friends.
