Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Herr Kave is the alpha-male of the Kave Clan, becoming so because of the extreme importance he puts on memorizing weaknesses of other clans and dragons. He is a very prideful dragon, especially in the case of his name, he feels that it exudes a sense power and becomes furious if he is called by anything other then Herr Kave. He expects Nabsta to consistently inform the hatchlings of this from their hatching. No other dragon infuriates him more than Chewwu, who believes that he is the alpha-male. Herr Kave is constantly trying putting Chewwu in his place, but to no avail, for alas the Gray is too thick.
