Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eedel never really fit in with her birth weyr, thanks to some scandal about her parentage that she never really quite figured out. When Cahib passed through on his fruitless quest for sinomorphs and power, she saw an opportunity. They had no idea who she was or who her parents were, and after the group had traveled far enough, neither did anyone else she met. One day, she hopes to find a place to settle down, but for now, someone has to keep a record of the whole ill-advised journey. She's already filled enough memory crystals to require one of Xintok's special traveling boxes. To avoid confusion, Eedel has decorated her box with flawed (and empty) crystals, so that Xintok won't mix up the boxes and use her precious crystal records in one of his inventions.
