Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Khorisxok, weary from his labors, stumped into the known world from a land down south where the stars are strange, and found a mountainside to rest upon. Of old he was a skilled builder, having especially a talent for catapults and other machines of war, but men had grown to distrust him as the world changed, and he had tired of their fear. He dreams now, staring into the sky with unseeing eyes and working out the measurements of the great wheels and pivots that spin the stars around him, and wakes only to eat and rest and sometimes to build small toys for curious hatchlings, who love him though they do not know the language of his thoughts.
