Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Though some dragons think his name is strange, Onomon is a very proud, responsible dragon. He protects his master's home and dragons, normally settling arguments and rarely choosing to fight, though he will if no other attempts to keep his family safe work. Most everyone trusts him, being a guardian. But it's not only his species that makes him trusted. It's all that he's been through.
He had a rough childhood. He was always being bullied, or teased. But as he got older, he developed the power to stop fights, and protect others. Then, one day, a rival dragon attacked him. Though Onomon lost, he knew that he was here for a reason. To protect, to love, and to help.
On the day of his attack, he left his herd, and stumbled upon his masters cave. He was welcome here, they said, so he stayed. After a while, his new master gave him the name of Onomon. She had been talking with her friends, and they had made up a new word for butter mints. It was onomonom. She just took one 'om' off of that.
