Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mercury is a proud and boastful dragon, but he is not a mean dragon. As much as he loves to flaunt his silver scales, he will be quick to help out in a situation gone sour and doesn't mind sharing things like food and shelter with the other dragons. Humorously egotistical and dignified, there aren't many who could say they disliked this dragon on a good day.

His unfortunate side, however, comes down to his temper. Any slightly rude behavior toward him could flare him up and he'd be sure to give the perpetrator a good screeching at. He rarely threatens another dragon physically, however, because he is not terribly strong.
