Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This young silver dragon chose to halt her aging process and stay physically young forever. Her name is Miotalia, and she is the daughter of the Silver dragon Airgeadia and the Skywing dragon Aerailo. Like her mother, she lives in the mountains above the Ionuin Caves, where she is always close to her dragon Clan. Though she will appear young for the rest of her life, Miotalia is actually a very wise and mature dragon. While she enjoys twining through the mists atop the mountain peaks, she also loves to quote poetry and is constantly starting intelligent debates with anyone who will join her. While she is happy being the dragon that she is, Miotalia often dreams of having wings like her father and soaring through the clear blue skies above.
