Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s brightly colored and chirps quite often.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tulip is a pink frozen hatchling. Her best friend is Miss Priss. She is a lot nicer than Miss Priss will ever be. She likes to help people out and gets mad at Miss Priss for criticizing people. She likes to hang around other frozen hatchlings more than adults because she thinks that she doesn't fit in with the adults and she doesn't like to stand out in a crowd.
