Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dovey is almost like a little bird. She rarely sits on the ground—trees are much more to her liking, which is why she refused to grow up. She also likes to gather shiny rocks and pebbles to hide them in empty bird nests, and she sings. While her voice doesn't come that close to a real bird's, she still manages a few nice melodies.
