Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Thren was born in the swampy everglades of florida, where he learned to run with the florida panthers and wrestle crocodiles when he was small. Some of those skills crossed over once he got his size and wings, and now uneven terrain and large dragons are easy to 'tackle'. The biggest thing in his history was when a guard dragon, wings torn and spears lodged in his skin, fell headfirst out of the sky and into the marsh. Thren helped the dragon get better (along with his very smart panther friend, who helped with herbs) and soon learned about the guard dragon's past.
