Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Mageia, found exclusively in desert regions, are thought to be the wisest Xenowyrm subspecies. Due to their knowledge of the magi element, they are able to cast a variety of magics, including teleportation. Their beautiful yellow scutes are reflective and smooth like glass, making them very valuable to collectors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One summer's day, a young woman (who was also a dragon raiser) had ventured far from her home for the purpose of exploring beyond the borders of the land she calls home. Suddenly, the blue of the summer sky was blotted out by the clouds of an approaching storm, and the girl started to head for home as quick as she could. Picking her way down off the slope of a bubbling crater, she stumbled onto the edge of an arid desert-like area. She trotted across the sand, the wind from the storm kicking up clouds of sand behind her, and there! A gleam in the sand, another glassy egg discovered. Into her bag it went (which was getting rather heavy) as she headed toward a line of tropical-like trees, hoping they weren't a mirage.

As the 'middle-hatched' of the group of Xenowyrms he was raised alongside, Citruswyrm usually acts as the peacemaker and voice of reason among them. When not settling disputes, he enjoys intellectual pursuits such as studying literature and solving riddles and puzzles.
