Perhaps among the most venerated of dragon breeds is the Zyumorph, a breed whose selfless heroism and strong moral compass are nearly unparalleled by other dragons. Zyumorphs have an innate urge to fend off wrongdoing, and as such, are often sought after in times of peril. Although they are independently quite capable fighters, it is said that their true might is not unlocked until all six Zyumorphs are brought together in times of great duress.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Max, despite her younger status among her siblings, is widely considered the big sister of the group. She is the first to stand up for them in times of peril, even when they may already be doing it themselves. She is highly protective of her family and expresses a brawn over brain preference not seen in her Zyumorph father, Billy. Max is just as protective of her parents as her siblings and has quite a bit of admiration for her father, despite their drastically differing personas. Billy is a member of the Zyurangers, a group of globe-trotting, draconic superheroes that thwart evil the world over. Max has a dream of one day joining them, becoming the next blue ranger and defending not just her family but the world. It's a lofty dream, but Max has always been a creature of ambition. Nothing slows her down, not even her own doubts!
