Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In ancient times, there were rumors of a land called Oblivion, where everything was terribly hot. It was believed that Oblivion once opened gates to earth and attacked, but a hero on a dragon of thunder closed the gates to Oblivion and saved the world from the cruel monsters that lived there.

Whether this legend is true or not, its namesake dragon, the Thunder Dragon, lives on. The only Thunder Dragon of Kaoru's Cave was named after the legend of Oblivion, and she holds her name proudly. She works hard to keep peace at the cave and train the Electric Dragons on how to use their power to help others. She does have a tomboy heart, however, and can often be found wrestling with Skyrim and Morrowind, the other two members of the Legendary Trio at Kaoru's Cave.
