Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Lemon lives in a quiet world. Everyday sounds such as roaring dragons and squealing hatchlings are all absent from her life. Ever since she hatched from her egg, she did not understand how the other hatchlings knew when to stop playing and run to the adults for food. Nor did she understand why the adult dragons would angrily lift her by the scruff of the neck, as if they had expected her to come of her own accord. Other youngsters would often sneak up on her and bite her tail unexpectedly, but whenever she tried to take revenge the other would suddenly turn around at the last second, making her, again, the one frightened instead of frightening. Only on the brink of adulthood did she realise that they had a way of communicating that she could neither see, taste or smell. Fortunately she now has found a sweet male Pink; other dragons avoid him for some reason, but to her he is kind. Lemon repays him by smiling when he smiles, and curling up to him when he sits sulking in a corner.
