Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ledgend held it that once in a Small village, a Unknown Dark Power cast a curse over the Sun, so that no light would ever reach the ground. Crops died, animals starved, wild beasts, desperate for food, attacked the village more and more often. Taking pity on them, God reached into the sky and took a piece from the Sun, molding it into a egg, and gave it to the Village elder, saying that as long as the villagers kept the faith, the Egg would hatch, and the Sun shine again. As the years passed, the Villagers struggled, but kept their hearts strong, as the Egg grew brighter and Brighter, till finally, one Day, the egg burst open, revealing a bady Dragon who glowed as bright as the Sun. With that baby Dragon's frist cry, the Dark curse lifted, and the Light shone once more. This Dragon, who would be called "First Sunlight" would stand as a symbol of Hope for generations to come, and proof that even in the Darkest Night, the Sun always shines again.
