It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Chesera is a sister of twenty-nine other siblings and is also the youngest in the family. Unfortunately, Chesera never knew much about her family because she was almost immediately abandoned by her mother when she was only a week old. With barely much to live on and was close to dying of starvation, Chesera almost sought to give up until a miracle happened one night that inspired her to keep going. It was a gorgeous aurora with streams of color exactly like hers that showed her the light for survival. Now she is all grown up and waiting patiently for a mate to pair up with.
