Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vervada is a Sunset Dragon. She is the sole leader of the Sunset Dragons, and does not wish to take a mate. Instead, she considers all of the Sunset Dragons her family. Vervada is regal and commanding, and is not a dragon to be trifled with. Even the teasing pygmy dragons are respectful. Vervada rarely goes out in the daylight, preferring to come out at dusk. The sunset dragons spend most of their time sleeping, as they only set flight when the sun is reaching the horizon. When they are active, the Sunsets are extremely athletic and have boundless energy. They often fly the entire mountain range and have races. Vervada is the fastest of her tribe, and usually plays referee. After they finish their activities, Vervada ushers all of the other dragons back to their cave, or sometimes to the clan cave to visit the main clan.
