Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tonisp, for a legendary dragon, is quite lacking in any form of 'magnificence' despite his particular species' reputation. He has a lazy disposition and uncaring attitude, one that tends to frustrate his master during attempts of study due to his lack of cooperation. He prefers to lay around the sanctuary pools, often unintentionally freezing the waters and upsetting the water element dragons who just want to soak and relax without being frozen into giant ice cubes. The only time Tonisp is lively is when he's out hunting. This, however, exposes his more selfish side as he often refuses to share his catches with any of the other dragons. Despite his personality, he does care about the others and is one of the dragons in the sanctuary they can count on for protection whenever trouble arises.
