Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

D-Shizuka is a very quiet dragon and gives off a meditative but highly aware aura. If his focus is on you it is very intense. He is a very steady and down to earth dragon; the type that you feel you can always rely on.

He doesn't make much effort to interact with other dragons except for W-Kimihiro who he is very protective of. He finds the she dragon highly amusing but clumsy and in need of caring and protection from the things that she is afraid of. He believes in her visions even though he can't see them himself. He takes his duty as protector very seriously and has found what he wants to protect.

He is a bit of a glutton, but picky in what he eats. D-Shizuka can come off as brusk and demanding but he is also a thorough thinker, considerate and straightforward. He likes to provoke W-Kimihiro into fits, but also likes her happy. He also likes to better his ability to protect. He does not communicate much but he makes himself heard in what matters using actions, choices and noise.
