Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is known as Amelie Lacroix—or at least, she was, until her egg was stolen from her parents by Talon, a despised clan of Vampire dragons. They transformed her egg, and when she hatched, she was raised as one of their own—a cold-blooded Vampire, willing to do anything that the leaders of Talon want her to do.

She goes under the moniker of Widowmaker, and is one of the most feared members of Talon, staking out potential converts for days before finally swooping in to steal the eggs out from under their parent's noses. They call her bite the Widow's Kiss—almost always converting her victim, she shows no remorse or guilt for anything's she does.

Amelie Lacroix is dead—in her place is the monstrous Widowmaker of Talon, willing to do anything for the benefit and growth of her clan.
