Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems very friendly and loves the sunshine.

And look! It has grown brightly-colored wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bowwer is very friendly and was taught by his parents to be polite. He approaches anyone who is not overtly dangerous by bounding up to them and giving them a deep bow.

Occasionally humans will take this to be an offer for a ride on his back. If they get on him, he will take them for a terrifying jaunt, bucking and writhing at full speed as (per their instructions) he immediately makes his way through the jungle back to his parents.
