Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Charman De La Fue (otherwise known as Charm) is a Red Dragon and one of the child-like grown-ups of the Shine-Stone Clan. Her surname Fue is French for fire. Charm always wanted to keep her childhood memories with her, so she kept acting like a child. When the other adults disapproved of it though, she began to act more mature.

Apart from when she's around Cress. For some reason Charm is fascinated of Cress and often wants to be with him rather than in the Army. Cress seems to like her back. After a few months of star-gazing, Charm wanted to stick with Cress and go out hunting with him. He first said no, but after some special Charm persuasion, he said yes.

When shes not with Cress, Charm uses her Incubate ability to help in the nursery. At least, when shes needed.
