Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

PoPiPo Vegetable Juice's cheerful song is a common sound in the Cave as she flies around selling her 'vegetable juice', a drink that she makes herself out of the various vegetables that the Harvest Dragons grow. Where she got the 'po-pi-po' part of her song from, and what it means, is a mystery—but it became so popular that she decided to add it to her name when she joined the Vocaloid clan of singing dragons. Her juice, too, has become something of a sensation, even among dragons which usually eat meat; its most devoted and unlikely fan is Kaito Lord Of Darkness, a Vampire dragon who likes vegetable juice so much that these days he rarely drinks blood. When not singing or selling her wares, PoPiPo spends her days tending her vegetable patch and devising new juice recipes.
