Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Rose is a very gentle and loving dragon. She cares deeply for her hatchlings and she once deeply loved her mate, Dreary Midday Rest. However, he never seemed to return her feelings. She began to get very frustrated with her mate and no matter how she begged him, he continued to be his same lazy self. One day, a strange dragon started following their herd around. Most of the others were annoyed by his prideful boasts, but she found his passion oddly charming. She left Midday for the unusual gold dragon and couldn't be happier.
