When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ano Hi no Kawa, or Day of the River, had fallen from the bundles of a sailor, after taken from the care of a young white dragon by said sailor, into the ocean, and travelled over the course of a few years, into a river which housed a very ancient and wise river spirit. Upon the spirit's birthday, or what we would call a birthday, the little blue egg hatched, thus earning his name. Ano was, and is, rather aloof, and never spoke. One day, while exploring the huge river he was born in, Ano happened upon a man trying to drown a young girl. Faster than the man could notice, Ano leaped from the deep river waters and struck the man, chomping down on his shoulder and pulling him into the river. After drowning the man the dragon rose back up and slowly carried the floating, unconscious girl to a rather anxious looking mint dragon at the base of a mountain. Though the girl, Eef, did not know how to repay the dragon for his kindness, he said nothing of it and decided to protect her--for free.
