Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sky of Thunder Bolt wants to create Tribes in this part of the forest. She thinks it will be better for dragons to live together so all can be protected, instead of each dragon defending themselves. She has tried to convince the other dragons in this area, but only a few want to create Tribes. Most of the dragons who have declined her offer have heard of other dragons in other parts of the world making Tribes, then having horrible battles with many dragons dieing. Still, she believes it will be best for the dragons of this area, especially hatchlings and eggs. After all, hathlings here have to scavenge other dragons' kills and survive alone, or, if lucky, they join other hatchlings or mothers with hatchlings. The mothers of eggs have to hide their eggs so they are not eaten. Eggs dumped here must hope a dragon who wants to take care of extra eggs can find them. If not, they're lunch. Sky of Thunder Bolt is a dragon who will take care of dumped eggs and hatchlings.
