Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Amongst a crowd of normal, functioning, average dragons, there was always That One Kid. Everybody knows about him: he's weird, he's different, and he stands out too much, even when he doesn't want to. He's always being bullied by the others, condemned to a life of constant suffering; even some of his community's friendliest dragons won't protect him, as even they consider him to be too "special", whatever that means. He no longer cares about the perks of being a unique individual; all he wants and ever has wanted is to fit in and be "normal". It was his parents that unintentionally set his life up like this. They were an extremely liberal couple- so liberal that their ideas began to contradict themselves to the point where That One Kid was coerced into supporting them, no matter what. In a rather conservative culture, he is humiliated for thoughts that aren't even his own. Society has killed him without ending his life.
