Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Her name means "Light Snow" in Japanese. She is a daughter of Akihiro and Hanako, and is her daddy's pride and joy, and her mama's angel. Unlike most Seasonal dragons hatched in winter, Koyuki actually prefers spring. She likes the snow just fine, and loves to make snow angels, and create beautiful snowflakes for the rest of the dragons to enjoy. But the sight of the valley filled with flowers, from the lowest meadow, to the highest tree, warms her heart in a way that the snow just can't. Her love of Spring makes her a bit of an oddity in the colony, but the other dragons all find it humorous. She met her mate, Geijutsuka, when she was enjoying some flowers, and she happened to end up in one of his paintings. He gave her the painting as a gift, a beautiful portrait for a beautiful dragon he said. He quickly won her heart, as she had won his. Soon they were courting, and became mates on a gorgeous day, when Spring had just arrived. They love each other so much, and always will.
