Spitfires are a desert breed of dragon. Their dull brown bodies contrast with their brilliant turquoise markings, and they only blaze brighter when these dragons fight. Spitfires are notorious for their territorial natures, and the wing-edges of most are ripped and tattered before their first year is out. Spitfires are also noteworthy for their brilliant blue fire, which is used not for hunting or fighting, but rather for making glass caves from the sand, in which the dragons can soak up the sun.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Feeaf is, like most other Spitfires, a very territorial dragon. He will guard his numerous caves with his impressive talons and large jaws. If, however, a human comes and looks around his cave, he will patiently wait until they are satisfied with their sightseeing and leave, because he believes that violence without a good enough reason is unjustified. He also does this because he loves to people watch; sitting in an unseen recess in his cave, his bright wings folded to his sides and his tail curled around him as he takes in all the different emotions of the people visiting his caves. Feeaf is a known mischief maker; always trying to scare the nomads' animals by flying low over them when they are on the move before swooping back up into the sky, shaking with laughter as the poor nomads try to catch him to no avail. His ragged wings are always gaining new cuts or scars, but Feeaf doesn't mind as he thinks it makes him look tougher and more attractive to the ladies.
