Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Even though Custom Light is considered to be a part of Shield Tail and Dark Drakon's dragon herd, she is very rarely seen on their island home. The reason for this is because she is deeply curious about the customs and traditions practiced by humans, particularly during the holiday season. For this reason, she frequently travels the world, learning all about how each human county chooses to celebrate their winter holidays. Custom Light's secret desire is to find a way to communicate with humans, and to share what she has learned during her Christmastime travels with them, bringing the various customs of each country to light, in hopes of strengthening the meaning behind the season and encourage worldwide understanding and unity.
