Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Scarlet Stars has always roamed. Her beautiful bright patterns slowly darkened to blood red as her loneliness grew. She tried to stay, to be part of a group; she wished it with all her might. But every time she makes the decision to belong, the situation erupts into blood and violence. But every time, she survived, she carried on. She banished herself to be alone. How could she care for someone when they would eventually be brought down by her. Slowly withering away in a dark cave Scarlet sat, when she saw light, his bright purple markings burning her sensitive eyes. She looked upon him and felt a stirring in her chest, but quickly dismissed it. She would harm him if she came close. He tried to talk to her, but she remained non-responsive. Every day after, Mauve came to her bringing her food and water, just trying to keep her alive. Her now black patterns returned to bright red, as he brightened her life. She has just begun to believe again.
